Edited by: ArmEagle Kusoni on 21/06/2011 23:36:31 I hope loading the station interior won't take this long every time.
But something I encountered pretty quickly is that after I rotate the camera a bit in the station, all these black squares start hiding more and more of the 3d world:
AMD X2 4800+ Geforce 7950GT (Sorry, my 8800GTS died) 3GB DDR1 Windows 7 64bit
Edit: Also, the patcher failed when it tried to extract something. I can imagine it ran out of diskspace. Maybe actually report that next time, let me clear more space and then let me try again. Instead of forcing the repair tool on me? Or actually. Maybe you should just warn right ahead when there's not enough diskspace to extract/install, though, yes, it is a tricky thing to exactly predict how much space you need.

Originally by: CCP Fallout ArmEagle, have you updated to the latest drivers? IIRC a new update was issued on the 15th.
I'll try that. But imho that should not matter. The card is years and years old. It's not like it would suddenly support that more features. But sure, I'll try that tomorrow.
Looks like the Nvidia site is having issues right now.

I found some time to update to the latest Nvidia drivers and give this issue a poke again. Originally by: ArmEagle Kusoni
Edit2: the black pattern stays the same if I undock and redock. Next, trying a restart. Edit3: restarted the game, happened again after a bit of camera rotating. will restart my pc tomorrow. time to zzz now.
These black squares still appear with the latest Nvidia drivers as I expected. They only show up when I have both Post Processing and Shader Quality on high. It is a bit of a moot point that I get these issues then, because FPS is abysmal then anyway, I know, old graphics card. But the issue is there regardless.
Also, you should really have implemented separate space and in-station graphics settings as part of this update. I could run (the space part) before the patch on quite high settings without any problem, CarbonUI or not.
And you should give priority to generating the 2D interface before also loading the CQ data. I can clearly see that the first is built up much slower now.
And WASD (or later customizable) should let me walk sideways/backwards. I have a mouse to rotate the camera and character. Leave these console-like controls to Dust please.
On a good note though, I found a job. So hopefully I can finally upgrade my PC soon. Even though I shouldn't need it for EVE. I'd still want to for other games (Battlefield!!).

Edited by: ArmEagle Kusoni on 23/06/2011 11:41:28 Another issue I forgot to mention in here
Most lights in CQ look just fine. But the lights at the door in the quarters and on the outside of the balcony seem to have broken lights. I've tried low to high settings and nothing makes a difference.
edit (sigh can't wait for the new forums...
So I was saying. The only thing you can really see on that image is that there's a very clear separation of a lighted section on the top left of the door frame and a dark section at the top right. Depending on my angle/distance from either doors the lighting changes from dark to light and back and forth. So there is flickering of light and the gradients shift around clearly too.
I'll link my system info again here for the ones not managing to find the link to my previous post(s):
AMD X2 4800+ 64bit Windows 7 64bit Nvidia Geforce 7950GT (sorry, 8800GTS died) 3GB DDR1

well....to solve your problem, go to Home Depot and buy a few new bulbs and change them....but maybe having no light in your CQ is a good thing for you...
Heh, the ... lights ... do ... work ... . They ... just ... work ... intermittently ... when ... I ... walk.
Starting to understand the annoyance that causes? :)
Anyway. I reported my issues. Now to hope CCP looks after old hardware more serious than Dice.

seems when you get jammed by a npc even after killing it the jamming warning still comes back and stays.
and
Originally by: Shale Shade On a pc, during World's collide mission, after finfishing off Guiristas I keep getting a jammin notification throughout the mission even tho there is nothing jamming me
To be honest I've had this happen since I started playing a few months ago. Not specifically something introduced by this update.
